LORETTA'S ARTIST OF WEEK 6/29/15
Country music artist Lance Stinson comes from a one-stoplight town in Georgia, called Lumber City. While he has toured nationally and gained a significant fan base and the respect of his peers, he keeps that small town attitude with him wherever tour may bring him.
His first musical memories came through the speakers of his dad's '79 Ford pickup. The eight-track gave him a good dose of Keith Whitley, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty and Merle Haggard, whose "Rainbow Stew" remains a favorite.
His smooth southern drawl pulls you into what he refers to as “kick-in-the-teeth” country. Stinson used the influences he gained from growing up in a rural, hard working community as motivation behind his music and lyrics.
Lance Stinson has a vocal diversity and energy that he brings to every performance on stages all over the Southeast. He has opened for Randy Houser, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, among many others. That experience and his talent led him to Nashville and his label deal.
